Automated Dispatching

Mobile Terminal Dispatch Programs provide a fully automated trip reservation intake system that uses comprehensive data management programs that are keyed to the customer's telephone number. All customers are added to the Patron Master File when they call. Later, redundant pickup information and instructions are retrieved as soon as the telephone number is entered. Charge account reservations are accepted with online account verification with the Accounts Receivable programs. Driver Charge Slip Redemption is automatically updated for efficient cashiering and charge slip collection. Vehicles are computer-selected and provided with direct dispatch information just seconds after the dispatcher enters trip request data. Calls are confirmed non-vocally by the driver via mobile terminals. The customer can be given a car number and ETA immediately. Drivers report their location and availability; the computer uses an online geographic street file for trip assignment, pricing, address verification and landmark functions. This program interfaces with the Accounts Receivable, Vehicle Records, Driver Records and Cashier programs.
