System captures magnetic credit/debit charge card activity for authorization and billing from a removable data storage cassette (“DSC”), or via interface to the mobile data terminal(MDT). Units may also interface to fare measurement devices including taxicab meters.The system provides for base station computer handling of credit card, debit card, or social service agency approval with digital transmission back to mobile data terminal with no human intervention. Interface to the cashiering module and your direct deposits to bank account also available.
